The first issue of the Bauhaus: Journal of Design was published upon the opening of the school’s new complex,
following its move from Weimar to Dessau in 1925. Designed by Lázló Moholy-Nagy, the journal features a distinctive typographic treatment for the title in bold, lowercase letters. The dynamic composition continues down the page, with graphic elements framing photographs and floor plans for architect Walter Gropius’s new building, showcasing the asymmetrical composition and glass curtain wall.
